Itching to explore some of more rugged terrain in and around the Ozarks? Our Ozark Jeep® dealers have two fantastic models for you to consider:

Jeep Wrangler
The base Jeep Wrangler is plenty powerful, as it come with a 3.6-liter V6 engine that produces 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque for handling steep slopes in the mountains. There are also three other engines to consider:

  • A turbocharged 2.0-liter: 270 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque
  • A turbocharged 2.0-liter engine and two electric motors: 375 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque
  • A 3.0-liter V6 diesel: 260 horsepower and 442 lb-ft of torque

A 6-speed manual transmission is standard, but an 8-speed automatic is available. Four-wheel drive is standard, but that’s not the only thing that makes the Jeep Wrangler an off-road beast.

You can also opt for skid plates and a 2-speed transfer case. And if you go with a Rubicon trim, your model will come with large all-terrain tires, locking differentials, and rock sliders.

Jeep Grand Cherokee
The Jeep Grand Cherokee also comes with a 3.6-liter V6, and this one generates 295 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. It provides a little bit more in terms of luxury than the Jeep Wrangler. You can also pick one of these engines:

  • 5.7-liter V8: 360 horsepower and 390 lb-ft of torque
  • 6.4-liter V8: 475 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque
  • 6.2-liter supercharged V8: 707 horsepower and 645 lb-ft of torque

All engines come with an 8-speed automatic transmission. Rear-wheel drive is standard, but Jeep 4×4 technology is available. For the best off-roading experience, you’ll want to go with the Traihawk trim.

In addition to standard 4×4, this comes with multiple skid plates, a limited-slip differential, and all-terrain tires. You will also get the Quadra-Lift air suspension system that offers 10.8 inches of ground clearance. You can take both of these models out for a spin by visiting James River Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM.
